This is a four-stored building.Shoppers were everywhere and the staff in their peach CMR shirts seemed to compete with shoppers in terms of numbers.Each and every member will maintain equal dress code depending upon their job-position.
CMR has clothes for the entire family, cosmetics, jewelry, toys and home décor items. The ground floor has an extensive cosmetics section with individual counters for brands like Lakme, Revlon, VLCC, Biotique etc. Make-up and personal care products like shampoos, lotions and bath gels from Garnier, L’Oreal, Dove, Clairol etc are also available. Titan watches and Ray-Ban sunglasses too have counters here. A shining display of silver articles like lamps, sindoor (vermillion)boxes and utensils is also on the ground floor.
The first floor has a jewelry section for gold ornaments of all kinds. From simple chains, rings and bangles to elaborate necklaces and earrings attract shoppers with their glitter. The other section on the same floor is devoted exclusively to heavy silk and fancy sarees. Kanjeevarams, vie with ornately embroidered sarees to catch your eye. If sarees are your priority, walk up to the second floor. An entire floor of sarees of every possible kind will overwhelm you. Kanta work, Narayanpet, Kota, Mangalgiri, printed silk, simple cotton - whatever variety you are looking for, you’ll probably find it here. To make your search simpler, there are signs indicating where different varieties of sarees are stocked. Blouse and dress material, bangles, some cosmetics are also available on this floor. Framed pictures, artificial flowers and large Ganesha statues are among the home décor items on display.
Kids’ clothes, inner wear and toys are on the third floor. Frocks, churidar kurtas, trousers, capris, tees and tops for girls in a panorama of prints and styles are available here. Boys can choose from shorts, shirts, three-fourths, T-shirts and ethnic wear. Board games, dolls, cars, puzzles and lots of other toys can be bought at CMR. Undergarments and night wear is also available.
Men’s clothes occupy the fourth floor. Brands like Park Avenue, Peter England, Oxemberg and Digjam are available in a collection that spans readymades as well as fabric. Formal shirts in pastels, stripes and checks and casual wear in vivid colors and prints are all on offer. Trousers too can be found in a variety of shades and styles. Ethnic wear like sherwanis and kurtas for festive occasions and weddings can be sourced from here.
